Quilts that have been sent to children

Lahle,

We received Hunter's quilt and pillowcase on Monday evening from UPS.

It was adorable.  I told Hunter to come in the kitchen because there was a present for him and when he saw it, he grabbed it and took off and put it over his head and was running around chanting, "Thomas, Thomas, Thomas."  He was so excited.  I just wanted to thank you so much.  It was beautifully done.  It had on the bag, package 1 of 2, so I figure that the other package is probably on its way with the diabetes activity book.

Thank you again so much.  You have been so supportive and I can't tell you what that means to me, Hunter, Shane and the rest of our family.

Thanks again,

Mikeesha

This quilt was made by special request for a little boy in Berea, KY, who loves Thomas.  Hunter was dx'd at the age of two on August 22, 2006.

Hunter loves Thomas so much we couldn't help tossing in a pillow case, too!

Hunter's Thomas the Tank Engine quilt

The quilt was made from materials donated by IOH and sewn by Lahle Wolfe and her daughter, Elizabeth, and shipped to Hunter on 01/20/07.
